The Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) led the Flag-Raising Ceremony last December 16, 2024. “Selflessness” was the theme for the week, as expounded by Mr. Marc Alvin T. Garcia. The Master of the Ceremony was Ms. Faith Buenafrancisca Corpuz.
After the preliminaries, a recognition was conducted for the members of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), headed by Ms. Arlie R. Alonzo, “for its outstanding performance and invaluable contribution to the promotion of quality early childhood care and development programs and services. The unwavering, commitment, dedication, and support have substantially contributed to the successful implementation of ECCD initiatives aimed at achieving the holistic development of young children.” The award was received last December 12, 2024 at the Manila Hotel.
An award was also given to Mr. Charlie Hernandez from the Municipal Treasury Office (MTO), for his honesty in turning over a lost-and-found object. Ms. Violeta B. Abenoja, Municipal Treasurer, received the award on behalf of Mr. Hernandez.
For the final part, Mr. Nelson Luna from the MENRO announced that 389 “pawikan” eggs from Bauang were surrendered under the care of CURMA (Coastal Underwater Resource Management Actions), an organization headed by Mr. Carlos Tamayo.
