Bauang, La Union | July 22, 2024
The Municipality of Bauang, headed by Municipal Mayor Eulogio Clarence Martin P. De Guzman III, donated buckets of paint to public schools for the Brigada Eskwela 2024. The said buckets were distributed by the Municipal Engineering Office (MEO) headed by Engr. Rainier Martin J. Calica.
The public schools which received donation were as follows:
- Baccuit Elementary School
- Bagbag Elementary School
- Bauang North Central School
- Boy-utan Elementary School
- Eulogio Clarence De Guzman Junior Memorial Elementary School
- Guerrero Elementary School
- Parian Este Integrated School
- Parian Oeste Elementary School
- Payocpoc Elementary School
- Payocpoc Este Elementary School
- Santiago Elementary School
- Eulogio Clarence De Guzman Junior Memorial Vocational High School
- Don Eulogio De Guzman Memorial National High School
This donation is in support of the Brigada Eskwela 2024. Region I and the Municipality of Bauang already held programs in support of the nationwide activity. Region I held the program last July 18 at Paringao Elementary School. Bauang held the program the same day, July 22, 2024, at Acao Elementary School.
The Brigada Eskwela (BE) is a nationwide school maintenance program that
engages all education stakeholders to contribute their time, efforts, and resources in
ensuring that public schools are all set in time for class opening. It is a six-day event
where local communities, parents, alumni, civic groups, local businesses, non-
governmental organizations (NGOs), private individuals, and even teachers and
students volunteer their time and skills for the conduct of clean-ups, minor to
medium repairs, and maintenance work in classrooms and within the school sites.
