The Municipality of Bauang, under the leadership of Mayor Eulogio Clarence Martin P. De Guzman III, in collaboration with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development (MSWD) office headed by Ms. Arlie R. Alonzo, provided financial aid endeavors benefiting numerous constituents. The Emergency Assistance – Aid to Individuals in Crisis Situation (EA-AICS) initiative encompassed a wide range of assistance, reaching 219 beneficiaries. From medical aid to burial expenses, educational support to livelihood opportunities, food subsistence to emergency shelter assistance, the program catered to the needs of the community.
With 149 individuals receiving medical assistance, 42 families benefiting from burial aid, and 8 students aided in pursuing education, the program made a tangible impact. Additionally, 16 beneficiaries were supported in establishing livelihoods, while 4 households received food subsistence aid, and 4 others were provided emergency shelter assistance. Through localized responses and swift deployment of resources, the initiative not only complemented national programs but also fostered community engagement and addressed specific needs effectively.
Mayor De Guzman’s commitment to servant leadership was exemplified through this initiative, which not only provided immediate relief but also empowered individuals to overcome challenges and build a more resilient future. As Bauang Municipality strode forward, the EA-AICS program served as a beacon of hope, symbolizing the transformative potential of governance rooted in empathy and solidarity.
