On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, the Municipal Government of Bauang, headed by Municipal Mayor Eulogio Clarence Martin P. De Guzman III, conducted a turnover ceremony for the newly rehabilitated solar-panel water system in Barangay Guerrero, Bauang, La Union.

Present in the event were Administrator for Operations Mr. Wilson Samuel C. Caluza; Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator (MPDC) Ms. Florence B. Rulloda; Planning Officer Ms. Jecca Jaciel Costales-Pimentel; Engr. Meneleo dela Cruz, Zoning Officer; Barangay officials, and some residents.

Mayor Martin De Guzman expressed his sincere gratitude for everyone present and reiterated Bauang’s commitment to serving its consituents through quality public infrastructure powered by renewable energy. This technology is a must-needed infrastructure that Bauang pledged to lay down in its Climate Emergency Declaration on August 16, 2024.

Paving the way for World Water Day on March 22, 2025, this event sparks dialogues on water conservation, with a focus on securing reliable water resources for the benefit of Bauang residents.

The successful turnover ceremony of the solar-panel water system in Brgy. Guerrero marks a breakthrough in Bauang’s journey towards water security, renewable energy, and sustainability.
