The Indigenous Peoples (IP) community of Barangay Palugsi-Limmansangan has proudly selected Ms. Corazon A. Andrada as their new Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representative (IPMR). The selection process, held on March 5, 2025, at the Palugsi-Limmansangan Barangay Hall, was conducted through the votes of all IP members in the barangay.

The event was witnessed by esteemed individuals, including Punong Barangay Lorenzo N. Abubo, Municipal Administrator for Operations Mr. Wilson Samuel C. Caluza, Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO) Ms. Helen L. Jubilado, Civil Society Organization (CSO) Representative Ms. Cherry L. Soriano, Department of Education (DepEd) Representative Ms. Joanne Tangalin, and IPO President Ms. Corazon A. Andrada herself.

The selection process was facilitated by the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP), ensuring that the process adhered to the principles of inclusivity and fairness for the indigenous community.

Ms. Andrada’s selection marks a significant milestone for the indigenous community of Brgy. Palugsi-Limmansangan, as she steps into the vital role of IPMR to advocate for the rights, welfare, and interests of indigenous peoples in the barangay. Her leadership is expected to strengthen the representation and voice of the IP community in local governance and decision-making.

The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Bauang, led by Municipal Mayor Eulogio Clarence Martin P. De Guzman III, congratulates Ms. Corazon A. Andrada on this well-deserved selection.
