Congratulations to the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Bauang, headed by Municipal Mayor Eulogio Clarence Martin P. De Guzman III, for receiving the Gawad KALASAG on December 17, 2024.

Alongside Mayor Martin De Guzman, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (MDRRMO), headed by Mr. Joel Vincent Caniezo, received the award at Vista La Vita, San Fernando City, La Union.

Gawad KALASAG, meaning KAlamidad at Sakuna LAbanan, SAriling Galing ang Kaligtasan, was established in 1998 to search for excellence in disaster risk reduction and management and humanitarian assistance.
