The Grand GABAY (Gobyernong ABot ang BarangAY) 2024, spearheaded by Municipal Mayor Eulogio Clarence Martin P. De Guzman III, through the Municipal Information and Tourism Office (MITO), launched at the Bauang North Central School (BNCS) Sports Complex earlier today, December 13, 2024. The event was brimming with Bauangeños who were delighted to experience the services of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Bauang. The Holy Mass at 8:30AM was led by Rev. Fr. Samuel Joseph F. Banayat. Jr. Hon. Rich Carlo A. Barnachea, Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation President, opened the program with his message. Hon. Felix P. Sanchez and Hon. Tanya Roberta A. De Guzman, Sangguniang Bayan Members, delivered their inspirational messages.

Municipal Vice Mayor Henry A. Bacurnay, Jr., who celebrates his birth day on the same day, graced the event with his presence.
LGU Bauang is also grateful for its partner line agencies who assisted in the event, namely: the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
The GABAY was founded in the 1990s by Mayor Martin De Guzman and has since then been running monthly, visiting each barangay in Bauang one by one. The different offices of LGU Bauang all work together to bring the LGU’s services to each Bauangeño.
