The Philippine National Police (PNP) Bauang hosted this week’s Traditional Monday Flag-Raising Ceremony, with Police Chief Master Sergeant (PCMS) Charlie R. Llarenas as the Master of the Ceremony, held on October 7, 2024. Simple Living was the theme. It was delivered by Hon. Danilo P. Abuan, Sangguniang Bayan Member (SBM). He reminded the audience to be humble and to not pull others down, because, “Ni Apo Diyos ti makakita kinyatayu.” (God is the One who sees us.)

The PNP 3rd Quarter Accomplishment Report was also presented, which includes:

6 anti-illegal drugs operations

Ms. Lisa P. Andres introduced the Guest of Honor and Speaker, Ms. Cornelia M. Rillera, Assistant Director, Civil Service Commssion, Regional Office I. She said to, “Let us be grateful that we are given the chance to serve in government.” She indicated a Bible verse from Galatians 6:9, “Let us not get tired of doing good, for we will reap at the proper time if we don’t give up.”

An awarding for the poster-making contest hosted by the Municipal Information and Tourism Office (MITO) last Friday, October 4, 2024 was conducted:

Hon. Myrna U. Ligas, SBM, was also recognized as Top 1 in the Ten Most Outstanding Elderlies in the Province of La Union.

A Loyalty Service Awards was conducted for the employees of the Municipal Government of Bauang who had been serving for at least 10 years. There was also a Posthumous Awarding for civil servants who have passed on. Afterwhich, an awarding of the Blood Donors from the last Bloodletting Activity on September 16, 2024 at the Farmer’s Hall ensued.

Finally, Municipal Vice Mayor Henry A. Bacurnay, Jr. delivered the closing remarks. He reminded us that simple living is knowing your position and knowing where you belong.
