This year’s 12th GABAY (Gobyernong Abot ang Barangay), under the leadership of Municipal Mayor Eulogio Clarence Martin P. De Guzman III, was held at Brgy. Payocpoc Norte Oeste of this Municipality on August 30, 2024. It was attended by Hon. Henry A. Bacurnay, Jr., Municipal Vice Mayor; Sangguniang Bayan Members (SBM) Hon. Bonifacio “Kit” Malinao, Jr., Hon. Veronica T. Bernardo; Hon. Donny Ceazar D. Baradi; representatives of line agencies, Municipal Department Heads, Barangay officials, and residents.

According to Vice Mayor Hon. Henry A. Bacurnay, Jr., the fund for the renovation of Payocpoc Norte Oeste’s Barangay Hall was approved by Senator Risa Hontiveros in the amount of PHP5,000,000.00 (five million pesos).

The following was the list of residents we were able to reach in the GABAY:

120 indigents given with food packs by the Gender and Development Office

100 patients consulted with the Rural Health Unit (RHU)

7 certificate of birth late registrants with the Municipal Civil Registry

47 farmers given vegetable seeds by the Municipal Agriculture Office

– 12 livestocks insurances filed

– 6 dogs vaccinated

– 55 cattles dewormed

– 103 goats dewormed

GABAY was crafted in the year 1998 by Municipal Mayor Eulogio Clarence Martin P. De Guzman III. Its purpose is to serve the different Barangays of this town, especially those in far-flung areas. It is done once or twice a month.
