The Gay Association of Bauang (GAB), led by GAB President Richard C. Banan, in collaboration with the Municipality of Bauang, under the leadership of Mayor Eulogio Clarence Martin P. De Guzman III, hosted a Livelihood Workshop Program at the Bauang North Central School (BNCS) Sports Complex.
The highlight of the workshop was a session conducted by Mr. Oscar Florendo from Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) La Union. He trained the participants in Basic Haircutting techniques for both men and women, as well as Basic Hair Dyeing. These skills are intended to help participants start their own small businesses or enhance their employment opportunities in the beauty industry.
Mayor De Guzman addressed the attendees with an inspirational message, emphasizing the importance of skill development and community support. He praised the collaborative efforts of the Gay Association of Bauang in promoting a spirit of inclusivity and progress within the municipality.
Several local leaders attended the event, including Sangguniang Bayan Member (SBM) Donny Ceasar D. Baradi, SBM Tanya Roberta De Guzman, and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) President Rich Carlo A. Barnachea. Mr. Rayray Estigoy, President of the LGBTQ+ Community La Union, was also present, highlighting the importance of community support and inclusion in local initiatives.
Architect Bobby Baradi expertly hosted the program, ensuring a smooth flow of activities and engaging the audience throughout the event.
